Privacy Policy

PottyStar is made by Lionary LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the PottyStar iOS app handles and how.
- Your child's potty logs, profile, and plan are stored locally on your device. We do not run accounts and we cannot see this data.
- We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app.
- We never sell personal data. We don't show third-party ads.
- PottyStar is an app for parents. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data stored on your device
Child profiles (name or nickname, age range, avatar choice), potty logs, reminder settings, and your potty plan are saved only on your iPhone. Deleting the app (or using Settings → Delete All Data) removes them. We recommend using a nickname if you prefer. This data is included in your normal iPhone backups, which is how it moves to a new phone.
Analytics
We use Mixpanel to understand how the app is used in aggregate (for example: which screens are opened, that the onboarding quiz was completed, that a log was created). Analytics are tied to a random per-install identifier — not your name, email, or any account. Analytics never include your child's name, log details, or the contents of notes.
AI Insights (optional)
PottyStar Pro includes an optional AI Insights feature, off by default. If you turn it on, the app sends anonymized patterns — times, counts, your child's age range, and your training approach — to Google's Gemini AI (via Firebase) to generate weekly coaching. Your child's name, notes, and profile are never included; insights are generated for an anonymous child. Turn it off anytime in Settings. Per Google Cloud terms, this data is not used to train AI models.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat and Superwall to manage subscription status and display purchase screens. These services receive anonymized purchase and device information required to provide their function (such as a random app user ID and purchase receipts). We never see your payment details.
Notifications
Potty timer reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We do not send remote push notifications.
Children's privacy
PottyStar is designed for and directed at parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Any information about your child that you enter stays on your device.
Data retention & deletion
Local data lives on your device until you delete it. Analytics data is retained by Mixpanel per our configuration. To request deletion of analytics data associated with your device, contact us at the address below.
